February ‘10 Updates!

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

Hey folks, Rhythmics here. From what I’ve read of the insane amount of emails I’ve received in the past month (<3), a lot of you are wondering whats been going on with Betamuse. Fair question, which I'll try to answer as consicely as possible!

Ever since my OHR3 set was made available to download, the amount of attention Betamuse has received has been astounding. My set has been downloaded over 250 times since I posted it early January. Considering our most popular release ([BETA004] Abuse) was released in November and has over 350 downloads, that’s a sweet accomplishment!

Many of those who have downloaded the set range from Up-And-Comers to Big Players in the UK Hardcore scene, and as a result a lot of work and license opportunities we’re thrown my way. It seemed like overnight I went from some random guy who produced Hardcore in Florida to…an actual pro! Hahaha. I now have two tracks that will be appearing on a Limited Edition compilation being released by a label I REALLY admire. I wish I could give more info but I’ve been strictly told not to. Just know it will be coming out this year and it will be big :) On top of licenses, I now have three tracks pending signing to another label I really admire. Hate to be so hush hush about it, but if I could, I’d proclaim everything with a megaphone, trust me!

Needless to say, its been a very crazy month for me, and as Betamuse’s primary force, things got quiet.

SO, what is up with Betamuse? Are we closing shop? Are we in indefinite hiatus? Are we escaping to the South of France to avoid child support? Will Darren Styles ever find his true love?

The answer to all those questions is a resounding NO, except the last one, which is a trick question, since real hardcore producers never fall in love (duh).

I know for the amount of attention Betamuse receives, to take a month off is excessive, and for that I apologize. Betamuse (and life in general) is a grand learning experience for me, and as a result I’m learning things step by step.

Now that February has kicked in and things have calmed down juussttt a bit, you’ll start seeing many more new things on the site. I’m always making new tracks and Partyshockerz is hard at work as we speak making new Hardstyle anthems. As we get harder, better, faster, and stronger, you’ll all be the ones to witness, and hopefully benefit :)

THINGS TO LOOK FORWARD TO FROM BETAMUSE IN THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY:

  • [BETA005] Rhythmics – Happiness / We Go
YES, FINALLY! Happiness is a melodic piece of uplifting bouncy Hardcore that makes you giggle like a ninny (true story!). Flip her over for a cheesetastic number with a mental riff that keeps you dancing. Both tracks have had crazy support from US and UK DJs alike.
  • New DJ Mixes!
DJ Rhythmics – Hardcore Life Vol. 2
TheDJCharm – Jolly Rancher Vol. 2
  • New Youtube Mixes/Videos
A new mix from Charm and some goodies from myself!
  • CANDY

If you haven’t already done so, we implore you to add us to your social networks on the right of the screen. This is the absolute best way to get updates on what we’re doing!

As always, I can’t help but end all these updates with a big thank you to everyone who has listened and supported us. I’m incredibly overwhelmed with the attention and support we’ve been receiving, and it’s that same support that is taking all of us a step closer to our dreams.

Thanks bitches!

OHR3 Wrap Up + Updates!

Sunday, January 3rd, 2010

Well what is there to say folks, OHR3 was a blast, thanks everyone for the love and support, we’re all really happy with the reception :)

As a thanks for being such a great crowd, here’s my set. Enjoy and feel free to send it to your friends!

DJ Rhythmics Live @ OHR3

Unfortunately with such greats news, comes a bit of bad news. BETA005 will be not be coming out tomorrow at midnight as planned. I could write a million reasons why but it all boils down to that I feel there is still room for improvement, and with the preparation of OHR3 I didn’t find the time to do said improvements. It will get released, but just not tomorrow :) as always, stay updated by visiting the site often and following our many networks to the right of the screen.

To everyone who has supported Betamuse for the past four months since our inception, we all thank you dearly. You guys rock, and we promise 2010 is going to bring even more high quality music.

December 09 Updates!

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

Hey folks, Rhythmics here. It’s been pretty quiet on this space and I apologize! We all were caught in the [raver] frenzy of semester finals and we haven’t had much time to promote ourselves. Non the less, on with some updates:

- We have a brand new Betamuse mix, presented by our newest comrade, DJ Complx! Hardcore Relativity Vol. 1 is now available for download over at the “DJ Mixes” tab. Check it out for a wild mix exploring all varieties of UK Hardcore!

- We recently broke the 5,000 visit mark, and have had over 500 downloads from just our Discography section alone. WOW! Thank you all so much!

- Now that the semester is over, I will dedicate an entire month to starting and finishing several projects, so expect a lot of brand new music from Betamuse, along with some pretty sweet guests *wink*.

- On that note, BETA005 will finally be released on the 3rd of January, 2010. Tracks previews and info will be available in the next two weeks :)

- New 10 minute mixes will be uploaded to the Betamuse Youtube Channel in the next two weeks! My Third Hardcore Mix On Youtube has been featured on HappyHardcore.com’s Official Youtube channel and is getting close to 1000 views! Can I top it off? :)

- I will be performing at Otaku Hardcore Revolution 3, a global internet event that celebrates Japanese Hard Dance music hosted by Shingo DJ, half of Betamuse’s very own Partyshockerz! I won’t go into detail of what I’ll have in store, but I assure you it’s something you won’t want to miss :D

- I will be starting my own blog (www.djrhythmics.com) very soon, and with the end of the year rolling on closer, what better way to start it off than with a post of my Top 10 UK Hardcore Tracks of 2009! Along with an in-depth blog post I will have a youtube video with track previews, information on where to get them, and short commentary from myself!

Thank you everyone for your continued support and love! If you want to be up to date with everything betamuse, be sure to add our networks to the right of this page!

November 09 Updates!

Sunday, November 22nd, 2009

Hey folks, Rhythmics here with some new updates!

The guys over at That Hardcore Show are going to showcase my EP Follow Me on their podcast this Tuesday at 9:30 PM CT. Be sure to tune in, and if you haven’t already, download the bloody thing ;)

We’re happy to announce that DJ Complx is now a part of Betamuse! Already making the rounds in Pennsylvania and playing to hundreds of viewers weekly via online stream networks, Complx is known for his unique mixing of Hardcore music from different styles and eras, and for his genuine personality and humor. Check out his profile under the Artists Tab, and expect an exclusive Betamuse mix by him in the next weeks to come!

In the next week we will have a section just for links to artists and labels we support, including our sponsors (Hint: They are very very awesome)

We’re having some delays with Betamuse’s newest release, but we’re hoping to have it out early December. In the meantime, don’t forget to download our newest release, Abuse, and why not leave some feedback?

For those who don’t know, Betamuse is on Discogs, a very cool resource for every music release imaginable. I love this site because its an easy way to track artists and for Betamuse, an easy way to get feedback through ratings and reviews. If you haven’t joined it yet, do it! Your feedback is very important to us!

That’ll do for now, thanks for reading, and be sure to keep track of us on our networks to right of the site!

An in depth blog by TheDJCharm

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

Hey guys Charm here, DJ Rhythmics has a gun to my head and has told me that if I don’t update the site with a post, he’ll shut down the studio.

So here’s a few minor trivialities to get out of the way:
- We’re going to be having some shirts for sale soon so keep checking the shop section of the site for those.
- Both Rhythmics and I should have new youtube mixes uploaded by the end of the weekend.
- Sunday Oct 18th, Rhythmics and I will be spinning on UStream at 10:00 pm EST, where we will be debuting the next Betamuse release.

Now onto more important matters

Rhythmics and I were at IHOP and i brought up the question; How much ass do you think Darren Styles has gotten? So I started doing the math, and decided to share it with everyone.

OK so Darren Styles has been around the scene since 1992. That is 17 years of ass to account for, so here we go:

On average there’s probably how many people at a Darren Styles concert? 500-600 people? Maybe more, but for the sake of argument lets use these numbers.

Now of those 500-600, 55% are probably women, maybe even more just because its Darren Styles. So that leaves us with (0.55 * 550) = 302.5 (That 0.5 might be a midget Darren Styles probably experimented with).

302.5 women are at his concert. now say a quarter are available. Than you’re left with 75.625 (obviously another midget).

Now say only a quarter of those are too Mr Styles liking. You’re left with 18.90 woman.

Now assume he only gets the girl half the time. Then he’s left with about 9 women per show.

SO OBVIOUSLY assuming Darren Styles can handle 9 woman in one night (which we all know hes capable of)

If he averages 2 shows a week for the past 17 years, and he bones 9 women per show (which i have the utmost faith that he does), than

(2*52*17*9) = 15912 women or bangs or lays or points

WOW. Don’t you want to be Darren Styles now?

Although you have to take into account the likely hood of getting an STD in the UK after that many partners. You would probably come up with a very disturbing probability that Mr. Styles might have something, and that it may be an inspiration for some of his songs.

Now what was the point of this long wild tangent? Nothing. Only that you should tune in to Rhythmics and I at UStream on Sunday October 18th, at 10:00 PM EST, and continually come to WWW.BETAMUSE.COM

-Charm

P.S Darren Styles if you’re reading this than…IM SORRY I AM SO SORRY I DIDN’T MEAN TO MAKE YOU MAD YOU’RE THE BEST THING I’VE EVER HAD <3. Seriously though, you’re the man. Keep doing what you’re doing, this is all a joke. Don’t put a hit out on me : ) .

Technical Problems Already?!

Friday, September 25th, 2009

Seems like Betamuse’s blog posts are all redirecting the user to the artists section, not letting anyone comment. We’re working to solve the problem right now, till then stay put, and sorry for the inconvenience!
