April ’10 Updates!

Hey folks, Rhythmics here with some announcements, general information, and a brief summary of the chaos that goes on behind Betamuse and myself :)

To start things off I am very happy to announce that I have been given the great honor of performing at Ani-Mayhem in Miami, Florida on July 10th, 2010. I will be headlining along with Ravine & Cotts (Australia), my good friend Speedycake (NC, USA), and the spectacle “Hardcore Saves The World” (Ian K, Jimni Cricket, and others) (WA, USA). I know for sure it will be an incredible night, and I urge all of you who can make it to come. Without exaggeration, the success of this rave will determine whether Hardcore from around the world will thrive on the southeast coast. If you are on the east coast and love your Hardcore music, and want to see more and more Hardcore raves, then please, try to make it! Address and info is posted under the “Shows” tab at the top!

Hardcore Life Vol. 2
UK Hardcore
50 Minutes
Mixed by Rhythmics
MP3

I have uploaded the long awaited sequel to my first UK Hardcore mix for Betamuse, Hardcore Life Vol. 2, and I’m very proud of it! Come check out 50 minutes of the best hardcore in the world mixed by myself LIVE on two turntables and Native Instruments Traktor Scratch Duo. No editing, no Ableton, no bull****! And while you’re looking around, be sure to download the other mixes we have from TheDJCharm, DJ Complx, Partyshockerz, and DJ Aura Qualic!

T-SHIRTS ARE COMING VERY SOON! I have finally found artists and designers that are genuinely interested in taking up the project and by July they will be available to the public. If you think yourself or someone you know would be interested in making shirts for Betamuse, be sure to contact us at
contact@betamuse.com
. We will compensate you for your work and effort!

Both BETA006 and BETA007 were originally going to be announced last weekend, but due to gaps in communication they will be announced at a later date. I know a lot of you are holding out for new releases but quality doesn’t come easy, and simply put, I refuse to put out mediocre tracks like a factory like other paid net labels would! Betamuse is breaking the tradition that free music is bad music, and we’re convicted to continue doing so. So stay frosty, and the releases will come out soon enough, I promise :) Look forward to new artists appearing on Betamuse releases, some that are even high profile *wink wink*

As always, if you want to keep up to date with our stuff, be sure to follow us on our networks to the right of this page, and also follow the networks of the artists which you can find under our Artists Tab at the top! Even if we’re not releasing anything rest assured that we are busy at work making tracks and making them available to the public one way or another :)

OK, now that I have the Betamuse stuff out of the way, time to talk about a bit about whats going on with myself!

My latest completed track “Far Away” has been making waves over in the UK, and has been played out by DJs including JAKAZiD and Nu Foundation. It was also featured on the latest Nukleuz Hardcore Podcast, which also happens to my debut on a British podcast! You can hear “Far Away” on My Official Soundcloud, along with other bits that I have been working on ;)

As some of you already know, I have been planning for the past six months for a 10 day trip I’m taking to England in late May of this year, and the flight date is slowly but surely coming soon! I will be meeting and working with friends and acquaintances for the first time, so as you can imagine I am incredibly excited! Hopefully I will learn a whole deal and even have some tracks to show from the experience :D I’ll try my best to update as much as possible from over seas to keep you guys on the up and up!

I think that’s about it! Hate to sound like a broken record but here goes: Thank you, every single one of you for giving Betamuse the attention its been getting. Seriously, it’s still rather surreal, and I can’t help but be overjoyed and thankful! Keep checking up on us and we promise to deliver!

Congrats on getting to play at ani-mayhem! If I was on that side of the country I would definitely attend. I’ll also definitely be getting a shirt when they are available.
